We consider each serving to be 4 ounces, and we provide 6-ounce cups to allow room for toppings if desired. If you have 50 guests at a party, a 50 serving Small Package will typically be sufficient. However, we often see guests enjoying a larger portion or coming back for seconds.
If this is the only dessert at your event, we recommend planning for one serving per guest. If other treats are offered alongside the soft serve ice cream machine, you can round down or offer a smaller cup to guests.
Yes. A confirmation email will be sent at least two weeks prior to your event. If at that time you decide you need more servings please let us know and we will adjust accordingly.
No. We let each host decide which toppings best suit their guests!
Our Taylor 152 ice cream machine requires its own dedicated 115-volt, 20 amp circuit with a ground for optimal operation. Using our provided 50- or 100-foot cord, it will easily plug into a standard wall outlet found in most homes or businesses. Please note that no other electrical device can run on the same circuit, including lights and refrigerators. Therefore, no refunds will be issued due to any power-related issues.
To ensure adequate power supply, it's best to check the electrical panel. If you rent more than one machine, each unit will require its own dedicated circuit.
No. The only cord that can be used to provide power for the soft serve ice cream machine is the one we provide. We have both a 50- and 100-foot extension cord depending on the distance from the outlet.
No. Our cart and machine weighs over 500 pounds. Due to this weight, we can only navigate small steps or curbs. For the same reason, the soft serve cart cannot traverse rough terrain; a flat surface like concrete or asphalt is ideal.
From the moment the soft serve ice cream machine is plugged in and the mix is added, it takes about three to five minutes until the delicious treat is ready to enjoy.
During the event it is crucial to ensure that the power is not disrupted and that the soft serve ice cream machine remains in its drop-off location. It is also important that the switches on the machine are not moved to guarantee proper functioning.
If your event has more than 50 servings, we will provide additional mix to add to the machine once the 'mix low' light comes on.
At the time of drop-off, we give a very thorough overview of the machine, which is easy and simple to operate.
Prior to the end of the event, we ask you to drain any remaining mix.
No, cleaning is not required before pick-up. If possible, we ask you to drain any leftover mix from the machine into the provided leftover containers.
Yes. If it is hot or sunny we will use our umbrella to shade the machine to ensure optimal performance. In the event of rain, we ask that an alternate location be available to keep the cart and machine covered, such as a tent or garage.
Yes. The soft serve ice cream machine will intermittently make noise while preparing the ice cream or keeping the mix cool in the hopper. This noise is not continuous, but please be aware that the machine won't remain completely silent.
If there is a cancellation three weeks prior to the event, a refund will be issued minus a $30 administration fee. If the cancellation is made within three weeks of the event, a $75 fee will be applied to the refund due to administration and product costs.
